We have been very humbled recently… As part of our festival topic in PBL, we visited a dumpsite. Yes, that’s right, a dumpsite! We met up with our friends from the Atmosphere Resort Soup Kitchen to learn all about how the local women there recycle paper from near the dumpsite and turn it into exquisite jewelry. They taught us about how the waste comes into the dumpsite and how they are working hard to reduce the amount of waste, by recycling anything they can turn into wonderful jewelry. Apart from the sad realization of the quantity of rubbish  in the dumpsite, the children loved it and even got the chance to learn how to make wonderful jewelry for their PBL festival next week. A big thank you to Lumago designs and the soup kitchen workers who taught us so much!
