High School Curriculum

KS4 (14-16 YEARS OLD)
AT ONE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PHILIPPINES

Our High School (KS4) students complete a two-year programme of study, consisting of a range of (International) General Certificate of Secondary Education (I)GCSE subjects. These are externally examined and are a direct stepping stone to pre-university courses such as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme or A Levels.

Our school is proud to be a Pearson-Edexcel examination centre, providing our students with the opportunity to take their exams in a familiar and comfortable environment. This eliminates the added stress of travelling for exams and allows students to focus solely on their studies. As the only exam centre on Negros, this designation is a testament to the trust and confidence placed in our school by Pearson-Edexcel. Furthermore, being a Pearson-Edexcel examination centre allows our students to earn internationally recognised qualifications, which will help them succeed in their future educational and professional endeavours.

The children will be covering all core subjects laid out in the new British National Curriculum inclusive of English, Mathematics and Science. In addition to this, as we aim to be a truly international school, children will also be learning about international topics covering the humanities, including;

History

Geography

Languages

Design and Technology

Expressive Arts

High School students also have timetabled lessons in Music, Citizenship and Spanish. Physical Education is also part of the timetable and involves children learning about healthy living, respect and teamwork furthering their development into well-rounded global citizens. This is achieved through curricular activities including but not confined to yoga sessions and physical education lessons which are further supplemented by a range of activities offered as extra-curricular options.
