Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving
On the 28th of November, the Stargazers and Flying Foxes celebrated Thanksgiving together. The day started off with some history about the first Thanksgiving and why it is celebrated. The kids had many questions and Teacher Abigail and Teacher Renj were happy to answer them all.
The students then worked in pairs to complete a poem about what they were thankful for on this day. Some of the things the kids were thankful for were: unforgettable memories, turkey, underwear, apple pies, friends and family! After finishing their poems, the students continued the day with an Art and Craft session during which they made their own beautiful turkeys.
To finish off this day of being thankful, the kids watched “Charlie Browns First Thanksgiving” and then had a go at Thanksgiving Bingo, word searches and colouring.
The day was filled with smiles and laughter and everyone had a delightful day learning about this American celebration. We at ONE International School are thankful for our wonderful students who always come to school with a smile and a willingness and eagerness to learn new things.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
