New PBL topic – FESTIVALS!

We have started our first week back with delightful and engaging activities. Firstly was the introduction of our new PBL topic ‘Festivals’.

Clues were given for the students to guess and there was noticeable excitement and enthusiasm in guessing what the title was. The children have also shown excitement in listening and sharing each other’s festival knowledge and experiences.

We had a great day learning about different countries. We also sampled food and participated in various traditional activities and games for each country.

Next, in Literacy, children learnt about poems – specifically about space poems. As their aim was to perform a space poem, children made use of the Internet for research. Lastly, in Maths, the children continued to boost up their number bond knowledge through answering addition and subtraction problems.
