It’s that time again!
Well done Flying Foxes, we have reached the end of half term and we’re all still standing!
It’s been a fantastic half term for us this summer…
Over the recent weeks we have been working tirelessly with the Eagle Rays and The Stargazers to think of inventive ways in which we can help our local community. We eventually decided that we should help our local community by taking part in a local beach clean-up alongside The Marine Conservation Philippines.
This was a wonderful opportunity to make a difference locally and to increase our awareness of how to become an outstanding global citizen. During our visit, we all learnt a fantastic amount about how we can protect marine life and how we can help the local community. A total of 70kgs of garbage was collected…. can you believe that?!
To follow on from our wonderful field trip, this week we have been sharing the knowledge we learnt through videos and presentations. Additionally, we have been continuing to recycle our plastic bottles to transform them into wonderful flower holders to continue our quest for a sustainable and green school!
The children used their mathematics and Visayan skills to purchase their flowers from the local flower market in Valencia.
Truly amazing work from the Flying Foxes, Eagle Rays and Stargazers! It was great to see you all working together as ONE. We can proudly say you are fast becoming outstanding global citizens!
