It’s all about the food!

The children in the EYFS have been focusing on healthy eating recently. To support this they went out on a shopping trip to our local Dauin Market where they chose their own fruits to take back to school and make smoothies… yummy.

Free play gave everyone the chance to shop in our Farm Shop or choose one of the many activities available which have reflected our topic: jigsaws, number work, pre-writing or playdough all related to healthy foods. There have also been activities where the children have made farms and factories to support their understanding of where food comes from, as well as sorting and matching healthy and processed foods.

You can also see the children enjoying games and activities during Halloween – children and staff all dressed up and played pumpkin matching, ghost catching and pass the parcel – all finished off with a maleficent meal and then a fun Halloween tale – ooooh 🙂
