New PBL-topic this term: People!

This term in PBL our new topic is all about…PEOPLE. Yes, a very broad topic that we are going to let the children take the reins with! They will be answering the two driving questions “Which individual has made an impact on the world? “ and “How do people make an impact on the world?“

Within this topic we will be encouraging the children to do their own research all about people that have had both a positive and negative impact on the world around us. We endeavour that the children will learn valuable life lessons from legendary figures within history and even modern figures still emerging in society today. In standing with our PBL style at ONE IS, the children will be leading their own learning and so we anticipate some wonderful outcomes from this project. Perhaps we will see biographies, drama, art work or even something we have never tried before… who knows? Stay tuned over the next few weeks to see which legendary people we will be learning about!
